Ryan Reynolds celebrates 10 years of Deadpool; adds Nicepool death scene amidst Justin Baldoni lawsuit drama - WATCH

Ryan Reynolds is celebrating a decade since he first stepped on the scene as Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool.
While the official 10th anniversary of the R-rated superhero film is still a year away, March 20 marks exactly ten years since the cameras first rolled on his solo debut. Taking to his handle, he shared an epic black-and-white video retracing the entire saga beginning from Deadpool to his latest film ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.
The video, posted by Reynolds, features a fast-paced, montage of Deadpool’s epic moments, beginning with the third instalment and retracing the journey backwards to the original Deadpool test footage leaked in 2014.
Fans took to the comments to praise the actor, but it was Wolverine star Hugh Jackman, who stole the spotlight with his comment, “Till YOU’re 90,” referring to a joke in the R-rated 2024 film.
Reynolds surprised fans by inserting an unexpected clip of the Nicepool death scene. Those keeping up with the actor’s legal drama with Justin Baldoni, will know that his character of Nicepool bore much similarity to him and his philanthropic efforts. Following Baldoni’s decision to file a $400 million lawsuit against Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively, fans interpreted the Nicepool death scene as the couple’s dig at the director. The scene in question had Blake’s Lady Deadpool shooting Nicepool in the back while Ryan’s Deadpool held him in place. Interestingly, the scene unfolds in front of a flower shop, much like Blake’s character in ‘It Ends With Us’.

The post comes just a day after Reynolds formally filed a motion to dismiss the $400 million lawsuit filed against him by Baldoni. In the suit, the actor was accused of ridiculing and targeting Baldoni by creating the character Nicepool, allegedly as a satire of the director’s “woke feminist” persona.
