Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot in June 2024 under the Special Marriage Act, choosing a union based on love and respect. The couple frequently shares affectionate moments on social media, offering fans a peek into their joyful married life. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Sonakshi said that she believes that being with someone from the same industry makes life easier. She enjoys discussing her work with Zaheer, sharing scripts and working with him to get his opinion. “He’s the first person I want to share everything with anyway. If there’s even a work meeting, I tell him everything. It gives me perspective.”
Love that feels effortless
Many say staying in love takes effort, but Sonakshi disagrees. “When we were dating, we used to become best friends and bitch about each other to each other! Honestly, it’s been as easy as falling in love. With the right person, there’s a great understanding about what relationships involve.” The ‘Dabangg’ actress said she and Zaheer became best friends first, which made their relationship stronger. They understand each other well and never avoid difficult conversations.
The couple enjoys sharing happy moments online but believes in keeping some parts of their life private. Sonakshi says, “It’s not only about the couples; everybody is posting what they want to portray their lives as. We are happy to share our happiness with others. The beauty of it is you post what you want to, not every detail of your life.”
Sonakshi and Zaheer were in a relationship for seven years before getting married. They acted together in the 2022 film ‘Double XL.’ On the work front, Sonakshi is set to make her debut in the Telugu film industry with ‘Jatadhara,’ her upcoming project.
