Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma serve couple goals and the internet cannot stop gushing over them. While often, Anushka was earlier trolled for being present in the stands when Virat didn’t play well or when India lost a match, she’s always been by his side in good and bad. Virat never fails to thank his lady love for all his achievements and makes sure to express love to her at the stadium. Now that’s the kind of love which makes everyone’s hearts feel so full as it transcends through the screen and the internet cannot stop gushing over Virushka.
As the cricketer scored his century and India won against Pakistan on Sunday, he was seen kissing his wedding ring which he wore as a locket, even though Anushka was not present at the stadium. But this is not the first time he did that. Here’s the history behind it. This is called the ‘locket celebration’ and it goes back to 2018 when Virat did it for the first time. The cricketer scored 153 runs against South Africa where India won. He was seen pulling out his locket immediately and kissing it when he scored crossed the 150 runs mark.

Anushka and Virat’s engagement took place just two days before their wedding and their ring ceremony video also had gone viral which made everyone emotional. Virat also was quite emotional as he hugged Anushka for few minutes after the exchange of rings.
While everyone wondered what was this gesture all about, it was later revealed that this is his wedding ring when they got married in 2017. This clearly indicates that he dedicates his success and achievements to his life partner who has been by his side through thick and thin. He has often expressed that also in many interviews that Anushka has been by his side always. So, after doing it for the first time in 2018, the cricketer has done that at several occasions. Or when Anushka is present at the stadium he throws a flying kiss towards her as he raises his bat.
Anushka and Virat have two children – Vamika and Akaay Kohli.
