Hollywood actor Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were found dead at their New Mexico home on Wednesday, along with their dog. This news has caused widespread grief among fans and the film industry. Now, Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor has also paid tribute to the iconic actor.
Anil Kapoor took to Instagram to honour Gene Hackman, sharing a collage of the actor’s photos and writing, “Cannot believe the world no longer has Gene Hackman in it… His effortless performances in films like The French Connection, Unforgiven, and The Firm are just a few times the world witnessed his genius. A true legend whose legacy will live on. Rest in peace.”

According to the Santa Fe New Mexican website, Gene Hackman, 95, and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, 64, were found dead in their home on Wednesday afternoon. Authorities say there is no immediate suspicion of foul play, but an investigation is still underway to determine the cause of death.
In his later years, Gene lived a secluded life outside Santa Fe, New Mexico, far from the Hollywood spotlight. Throughout his life, he was married twice. His first marriage was to Faye Maltese from 1956 to 1986, with whom he had three children: Christopher, Elizabeth Jean, and Leslie Anne. He later married Betsy Arakawa in 1991, with whom he spent nearly four decades until their passing.
Sadly, Faye Maltese passed away in 2017. A former Marine with a distinctive voice, Hackman built a remarkable career in Hollywood, appearing in over 80 films. His breakthrough role was in the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde, which earned him his first Oscar nomination.
