Actor turn politician Kangana Ranaut is ensuring to play every role of her life with grace and finesse. On the one hand, where she isn’t hesitant in making movies on sensitive topics and speaking the bare truth with her movies, on the other hand, she is also very vocal about the problems of her constituency Mandi during parliamentary sessions. An example of the same was seen on Tuesday, during the proceedings of the House.
Kangana Ranaut attended the session as the BJP’s Lok Sabha MP from Mandi. She shared words of praise for the Narendra Modi government at the Centre for electrification in different parts of the country. At the same time, she brought the attention of the leaders to the electricity problems of the assembly constituencies under Mandi.
She pointed out how due to heavy snowfall, electricity transformers get damaged repeatedly. The MP highlighted that the voltage is also very low and even if there is a little rain or snowfall, very long power cuts make it difficult for the public in general to operate their day-to-day activities.
“Sometimes there is no electricity for several weeks. Small businesses come to a standstill. There are many assembly constituencies like Seraj, Banjar, Kullu. I humbly request the Power Ministry, Himachal Pradesh Electricity Board to ensure 100% electrification there as soon as possible,” said Kangana, as quoted by ABP.
It is worth noting that Mandi is situated on the hills and the banks of the Bayan river. The geographical placement leads to climatic conditions where, from November to February, the temperature goes below zero. Heavy rains in July and September also impact the livelihood of the public.
