'Black Mirror' Season 7 trailer confirms return of USS Callister and more surprises

The new season of ‘Black Mirror’ has been announced with a spooky trailer. The new season will premiere on April 10, 2025. The trailer features a haunting cover of the classic song Dream A Little Dream, perfectly setting the mood for the unsettling stories that the show is known for.
As always, ‘Black Mirror’ will dive into the dark side of technology and its effects on humanity. The trailer gives glimpses of six new episodes that explore artificial intelligence, human consciousness, and futuristic nightmares. Each episode looks like it will tell its own story while sticking to the show’s tradition of cautionary tales.
One of the biggest highlights this season is the return of USS Callister. The popular episode from Season 4 is getting its first-ever sequel. Fans of the original story will be excited to know that actors Billy Magnussen, Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson, Milanka Brooks, and Osy Ikhile are all coming back to continue the space saga. The trailer hints at more psychological drama in outer space, which has left fans buzzing with excitement.
The new season also features a long list of new stars. Actors joining Black Mirror for Season 7 include Michele Austin (Hard Truths), Ben Bailey Smith (David Brent: Life on the Road), Asim Chaudhry (People Just Do Nothing), Josh Finan (Say Nothing), James Nelson-Joyce (The Outlaws), Will Poulter (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3), Jay Simpson (Pride & Prejudice), and Michael Workéyè (This Is Going to Hurt).
They’ll be appearing alongside returning big names like Awkwafina, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Paul Giamatti, Rashida Jones, Issa Rae, Cristin Milioti, Billy Magnussen, Rosy McEwen, Chris O’Dowd, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jimmi Simpson, and Harriet Walter.
Rashida Jones, who co-wrote the Season 3 episode Nosedive, will be appearing on screen this time. Meanwhile, Will Poulter and Asim Chaudhry—who fans will remember from Netflix’s interactive Bandersnatch movie—are also back. While Charlie Brooker once said that interactive storytelling was a “one-time thing,” he has since hinted there could be more experiments like Bandersnatch in the future.
Fans won’t have to wait long to dive back into Black Mirror’s dark world. Season 7 promises to bring more chilling, thought-provoking stories when it releases.
