Nayanthara will be seen in the upcoming film ‘Test’, a sports drama about the lives of its characters beyond the cricket field. Directed by S. Sashikanth, ‘Test’ marks his directorial debut and features a star-studded cast, including R. Madhavan, Siddharth, and Meera Jasmine.
The film revolves around three lives intertwined by cricket, each facing personal challenges that test their resolve. Nayanthara plays Kumudha, a teacher who yearns for a simple life with a loving husband and a child. Her journey is one of resilience and hope as she hopes to achieve her dreams. The teaser video shows Kumudha’s longing for motherhood and her determination to overcome the challenges she faces.
On her Instagram handle, Nayanthara shared the teaser where she wrote about Kumudha facing her most challenging test. Her caption reads, “For this teacher, failure isn’t an option. Kumudha is about to face her most challenging TEST. Watch TEST, out 4 April in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, only on Netflix!.”
Siddharth stars as Arjun, a cricketer whose character has been highly anticipated. His promo video got the attention of fans, with international cricketer R. Ashwin praising his performance. Ashwin noted that Siddharth’s portrayal of Arjun feels like watching a seasoned cricketer.
Ahead of the release of the film, the makers shared a video of Siddharth’s character. He will be playing Arjun’s role, and the promo video has left the audience super excited.
