A decades-old incident involving Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan losing his temper at a journalist in 1995 has resurfaced online, following his son Ibrahim Ali Khan’s recent clash with a Pakistani scribe over a negative review of Nadaaniyan.
Ibrahim, who recently made his Bollywood debut, went viral after he reportedly gave a Pakistani journalist a mouthful for his critical review of his film. The young actor’s strong response that was deemed as a ‘threat’ to the journo, went viral after a screenshot of the same was posted online.
The post came as a shock to many, considering the actor has a rather jovial attitude while dealing with the paparazzi and members of the media. Amidst the chatter over his DM, netizens were reminded of a time back in 1995, when Saif Ali Khan was embroiled in a similar controversy. Back in the day, the actor hit the headlines for allegedly going to a journo’s house and ‘punched him’ because he had mocked his mother Sharmila Tagore’s acting on television. Other reports claimed that he assaulted the man for his article that stated that Saif and Main Khiladi Tu Anari co-star Akshay Kumar “were more than just acting” when they teamed up for the film.
That’s not all, Saif, who was fuming with rage, allegedly “pushed” the journo’s elderly mother when she tried to intervene.
The resurfaced article has raised eyebrows with fans weighing in on the situation, with some supporting the Khan men, while others argue that criticism is an inevitable part of their journies in the film industry.
Ibrahim has been facing a lot of flack for his acting and dialogue in the rom-com costarring Khushi Kapoor. While the film marked the debut of the young hunk, it was Khushi’s third film after ‘The Archies’ and ‘Loveyapa’.
