Aamir Khan, known as Bollywood’s ‘Mr Perfectionist’, recently made headlines by introducing his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, to the media. The two have known each other for 25 years, but their romantic relationship began around a year and a half ago. This news has sparked fresh interest in Aamir’s personal life and his past link-ups with co-stars. Over the years, rumours have surrounded him, but he has often addressed them with a calm and composed attitude.
In 1986, Aamir married Reena Dutta, and the couple had two children, Junaid and Ira. Their marriage ended in 2002. In 2005, he married filmmaker Kiran Rao, and they welcomed their son, Azad, in 2011. Aamir and Kiran separated in 2021 but continue to co-parent their son and work together professionally.
Aamir has often been linked with his female co-stars. In an old interview with Lehren, he spoke about these rumours openly. He said, “Madhuri ke saath mera affair hai, yeh aaya hai. Juhi ke saath mera affair hai, yeh bhi aaya hai. Pooja Bhatt ko maine shadi propose ki hai, yeh bhi aaya hai. Toh kaafi cheezein aayi hai lekin main in cheezon se affect nahi hota hoon.”
Despite these speculations, Aamir always maintained a professional relationship with his co-stars. He worked with Juhi Chawla in ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’, Madhuri Dixit in ‘Dil’ , and Pooja Bhatt in ‘Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin’.
In March 2025, Aamir introduced Gauri Spratt to the media. He shared that although they had known each other for decades, they only reconnected two years ago and began dating. Gauri, who is from Bengaluru, has not watched many Bollywood films, apart from ‘Lagaan’ and ‘Dil Chahta Hai’. She mentioned that she was looking for a kind and caring partner, and she found these qualities in Aamir.
Aamir also explained why he was drawn to Gauri. He said, “I was looking for someone I can be calm with, who gives me peace. And there she was.”
