Aamir Khan recently addressed the box office setback of his son Junaid Khan’s latest film ‘Loveyapa’ with Khushi Kapoor. The film, released on February 7, reportedly earned merely Rs 12 crore in total. In a recent interview, Aamir revealed that he was more stressed about the film than Junaid.
In an interaction with ABP News, Aamir expressed that he found ‘Loveyapa’ to be a good film and praised Junaid’s performance. “As a father, I was ten times more stressed for my son’s film. Two weeks before its release, I kept wondering, ‘Why am I so stressed about the film? It isn’t my film—I haven’t acted in it, produced it, or directed it.’ But still, I was anxious,” he added.
Aamir described ‘Loveyapa’s release as a significant moment in his life. “This is the emotion of a father. I don’t know how to explain it.” He also shared that he often feels the need to do more for his children, which he believes is a common trait among parents. “Junaid will grow and learn,” he said.
The ‘PK’ actor further stated that success and failure are common in the film industry. He highlighted that Junaid is young and remains positive.
Aamir confirmed that he is working on a romantic film with Junaid, set to hit theatres in November or December this year.
Additionally, the ‘3 Idiots’ actor spoke about his dream project based on the Mahabharat and hinted at taking on a role in it.
On the work front, Aamir Khan will next be seen in ‘Sitaare Zameen Par‘. There are also rumours about him making a cameo appearance in the Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Coolie’.
