Aamir Khan recently introduced his girlfriend Gauri Spratt, but even amid his big revelation, the media couldn’t resist bringing Salman Khan into the conversation.
According to Hindustan Times, after his press conference at Mumbai’s Taj Lands End, Aamir was asked if Salman should also find a “Gauri”—a playful nod to the fact that both Shah Rukh Khan (Gauri Khan) and now Aamir (Gauri Spratt) have partners with the same name.
“Salman ko bhi Gauri dhoondh leni chahiye (Salman should also find a Gauri)?” the journalist suggested. Aamir, with a sigh, replied, “Salman kya dhoondhega ab? (What will he find now?)”
During the press conference, Aamir was asked whether Salman had taken any tips from him and Shah Rukh on settling down. In response, he said, “Salman will do what is best for him.”
On the eve of his 60th birthday, Aamir shocked everyone by going public with his relationship with Gauri Spratt, a Bengaluru-based entrepreneur and mother to a six-year-old son. The two have known each other for nearly two decades, but their romance started around 18 months ago.
Aamir, who has been married twice before—to Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, shared why he felt drawn to Gauri: “I was looking for someone who I can be calm with, who gives me peace. And there she was.”
Aamir confirmed that Gauri has met his family, close friends, and even Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. His children from previous marriages have also been introduced to her, and she has been warmly welcomed by them.
When asked if he was planning to marry Gauri, Aamir laughed and said, “We are fully committed. But at 60, shaadi shayad mujhe shobha nahi degi (marriage at 60 may not suit me).”
Despite being in a relationship with a Bollywood icon, Gauri has only watched two of Aamir’s films—Dil Chahta Hai and Lagaan. Aamir playfully remarked, “My girlfriend is prettier than Katrina Kaif. I feel like home when I am with her.”
Acknowledging the media scrutiny she will now face, Aamir also revealed that he has arranged for private security for Gauri.
Ending the conversation on a nostalgic note, Aamir humorously referenced Lagaan, saying, “Bhuvan ko uski Gauri mil hi gayi.”
