Aamir Khan is known as Bollywood’s ‘Mr Perfectionist’, and he recently showed great respect to someone who helped him in his film journey. A video is doing rounds on social media where Aamir is seen touching the feet of wrestling coach Kripashankar Patel Bishnoi. Reportedly, the coach had trained him for his role in the hit film ‘Dangal‘.
In the video, we can see the ‘PK’ actor dressed in casual attire, was seen rushing to touch Kripashankar Patel’s feet as soon as he entered the room. Although Patel initially resisted, the two eventually shared a warm hug. During their interaction, Aamir expressed his appreciation for the energy he receives whenever they meet, saying something along the lines of, “Aapko jab bhi mai milta hu toh aise energy milta hai.”
Kripashankar Patel Bishnoi is a well-respected wrestling coach and an Arjuna awardee. As per Aaj Tak, he played a big role in helping Aamir prepare for his character, Mahavir Singh Phogat, in the 2016 film ‘Dangal’. The movie was based on a true story about a wrestler who trained his daughters to become world champions, breaking traditional beliefs.
While sharing another video of their fun interaction, where Aamir Khan says, “Inhone meri cigarette chuda di,” Patel praised Aamir’s dedication, saying, “Aamir ji ka Vyaktitva bahut hi saral hai. Vah jo bhi kaam karte hain, usmein poori imandari ke saath kirdar mein utarne ki koshish karte hain. Kirdar mein dhalne ke liye vah jeevan se judi kai cheezon ko swikaar karte hain aur khud mein badlav karte hain. Mahavir Phogatji ke kirdar mein dhalne ke liye unhone cigarette tak ko alvida kah diya.”
This roughly translates to, “Aamirji’s personality is very simple. Whatever work he does, he tries to immerse himself in the character with complete honesty. To get into character, he accepts many things related to life and makes changes in himself. To get into Mahavir Phogat’s character, he even bid farewell to cigarettes.”
