Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has expressed her keen interest to reunite with superstar Shah Rukh Khan once again after their collaboration in ‘Dear Zindagi‘.
The actress, in a candid chat with fans, shared her desire to reunite with SRK, calling him “a gem of a human being” and stating, “I’d really love for us to come together because I really had the best time working with him.”
Interestingly, Alia’s daughter, Raha Kapoor, may have unintentionally played a part in fueling this desire. The actress in her interaction, revealed that her 2-year-old daughter, Raha is quite the SRK fan. Sharing a lighthearted moment, she recalled how the little one, while eating a cupcake, credited Khan for it. Alia recounted, “When Ranbir asked her, ‘Who gave you those cupcakes?’ she said, ‘Shah Rukh Khan.’” The amusing anecdote has since gone viral on social media.
In a recent podcast, Alia also recalled the time she was listening and dancing to to Shah Rukh’s song Aankhein Khuli from ‘Mohabbatein’, when Raha raised a sweet question. She said to Jay Shetty, “I was doing some dance step, and she’s like, ‘Mama, your song?’ I said, ‘No.’ Then, ‘Mama, papa’s song?’ I was like, ‘No, this is Shah Rukh Khan’s song’.”
Alia and Shah Rukh Khan last shared screen space in Dear Zindagi (2016), however, they also collaborated on Brahmastra. While Alia played the leading lady opposite Ranbir, Shah Rukh featured in a cameo in the film.
While no official announcement has been made, Alia and SRK could cross paths in the YRF spy universe, where she is set to feature as a female spy in ‘Alpha‘. SRK, on the other hand, plays the lead in ‘Pathaan‘ and is rumoured to be reuniting with Deepika Padukone for the sequel which is rumoured to go on floors next year.
