Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as the ‘Rebel Kid‘, made headlines for her recent appearance in the controversial episode of India’s Got Latent and the subsequent legal troubles for using inappropriate language. After the controversy, the influencer-turned-actress was not allowed to use her social media handles. However, a video of her causing trouble during Sabrina Carpenter’s concert in Paris is now going viral on social media.
A netizen claimed on Reddit that Apoorva engaged in a dispute with fellow concertgoers over her phone’s flashlight use and reportedly disrupted the event. A recent video shared on Reddit features Apoorva filming the concert with her mobile phone’s flashlight on while hooting for Carpenter. One of the security guards pointed a torch at her and was seen saying something, which netizens believe was a request for her to step down from the high platform and stop using the flashlight.
She was also seen talking loudly on her mobile in an aggressive manner, which netizens found immature. She allegedly ignored repeated requests from people around her to switch off her phone’s flashlight while filming herself dancing.
As clips from the incident surfaced online, social media users reacted strongly to the controversy. One user commented, “People here were saying that her mental health got affected and we don’t know how she is dealing with all the mental stress, etc. That woman is incapable of feeling an iota of shame, and people are feeding her ego.” Another added, “Now let’s see how PR defends this by saying she can say her mind and it’s the patriarchal system that is putting her down.” Some users speculated that Apoorva deliberately seeks attention by provoking the audience.
Previously, Apoorva penned a thank-you note to her followers for supporting her through tough times following the India’s Got Latent row. Multiple FIRs were filed against her, along with Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, and others, for allegedly promoting inappropriate language and ideas on the show.
