In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Bobby Deol spoke about the phase when his career slowed down. He acknowledged that just wishing for success wasn’t enough—one had to put in the effort to achieve it.
Bobby shared that even after achieving success, he remained grounded and believed there was space for everyone in the industry. However, he admitted that he hadn’t fully grasped how competitive the industry had become during that period.
He reflected on his journey in the film industry, acknowledging that being the son of Dharmendra and the brother of Sunny Deol had shielded him from the industry’s networking culture. Unlike others, he never actively sought roles, which led to missed opportunities as the system evolved. He admitted to making some poor career choices and struggling to adapt to the changing landscape of Bollywood.
The actor shared that he initially hesitated to actively seek roles but later realized the importance of approaching filmmakers and expressing his willingness to work. He embraced this change, acknowledging that there was no shame in doing so.
