Zeenat Aman who continues to remain an icon and inspires many through her words of wisdom on social media is known for her glam roles. While it all looked starry for her on-screen, the actress had her share of turbulences and struggles in her personal life. While she got a lot of attention from men during those times, she’s had her fair share of relationships that affected her deeply.
In an interview, Zeenat’s co-star from ‘Insaf Ka Tarazu‘, Deepak Parashar had spoken about his romantic relationship with Zeenat and why he couldn’t marry her despite deep admiration for her. When asked if he had a romantic relationship with Zeenat, Deepak said during a chat with Siddharth Kannan, ““Yes, we were very close. We were romantically close.”
Further revealing why he didn’t marry her, Deepak said, “My mother said that ‘You have very orthodox thinking, while Zeenat Aman is a very broad-minded, well-educated, very open-minded, and well-exposed girl. So that you will never like it. You never allow women in your family to wear clothes with low necklines. So how long will this work? You must think about it. But I leave it all to you.’ So maybe that is why I became very double-minded. Moreover, Zeenat was having a tough time because of her relationship with Sanjay Khan.”
He added, “It was because she had too much going on and she needed to be left alone. We had some conversations regarding the same and she told me she wasn’t sure about it as she was fighting cases and felt destroyed (after her messy relationship with Sanjay Khan).”
Parashar said that his relationship with Zeenat started when she was going through a lot of turmoil due to Sanjay Khan. Hence, needed a shoulder to cry on. “She saw something in me that she thought that she could share her life with me. Share her feelings with me. Basically, a shoulder to cry. So that was how our relationship was. But her relationship at that point in life wasn’t completely broken, however, it was on the verge of breakup. So it isn’t like Zeenat Aman was two-timing or something like that,” he said.
