Just now after almost five years since his death, the CBI has given a closrue to the case and ruled out any foul play in this matter. Thus, Rhea Chakraborty and brother Showik Chakraborty who were under the scanner and accused of foul play in this matter, have now breathed a sigh of relief.
As the CBI has given a closure to the case, many celebs have come out in Rhea’s favour. Dia Mirza took to social media and expressed, “Who in the media will have the grace to put out a written apology to Rhea Chakraborthy and her family? You went on a witch hunt. You caused deep anguish and harrasment just for TRP’s. Apologise. That’s the very least you can do.”
Meanwhile Rhea’s brother Showik reacted after the CBI’s decision. He shared a video with Rhea and wrote, ‘Satyamev Jayate’. Chakraborty’s legal counsel Satish Maneshinde opened up after this clean chit on the matter and lauded Rhea. He emphasized that despite no wrongdoing, Rhea spent 27 days in jail before being granted bail. “I salute her and her family for having kept silent and yet suffered the inhuman treatment they were meted. Innocent people were hounded and paraded before media and investigative agencies. I hope such injustice is never repeated. I urge the media’s decision-makers to reflect on their actions.”
