Chennai-based public sector lender Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has announced the appointment of Madhaw Chandra Jha as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective March 1, 2025.
He will succeed S P Mahesh Kumar, the current General Manager & CFO, who is set to retire on February 28, 2025.
Jha, a Chartered Accountant, brings nearly two decades of experience in accounting and finance. Having served in Indian Overseas Bank for 19 years, he has overseen key financial operations, including financial statement preparation, statutory audit coordination, regulatory reporting, and specialised areas such as IndAS implementation. He has also held the position of Regional Head within the bank.
In addition to his banking expertise, Jha has undergone multiple management development programs at institutions like the Indian School of Business (ISB), the Reserve Bank of India’s College of Agricultural Banking (RBI-CAB), and the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI).
