‘The Diplomat’ actor John Abraham recently shared a little-known fact about his school days—he was classmates with Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan! Both of them studied at Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai, where he revealed Hrithik’s amazing dance skills and left everyone in awe.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, John spoke about his time at school with ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ actor and praised his dancing talent. He said, “Hrithik is probably the best dancer you have, and even in school he was so good at breakdancing. We used to have cultural activities period in school, and all of us used to go just to watch Hrithik dance. What a dancer he is.”
John joked about how different their interests were, adding, “I used to waste my time turning brown on the football field, and he would be dancing beautifully.”Both actors made their way into Bollywood and became stars in their own right. Hrithik Roshan made his debut in ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ in 2000, which made him one of the biggest stars of his generation. Before acting, he worked as an assistant to his father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, on the film ‘Karan Arjun’.
John Abraham, on the other hand, started his film career with ‘Jism’ in 2003 and became known for action-packed roles in films like ‘Dhoom’ and ‘Madras Cafe.’ Interestingly, both John and Hrithik have played anti-heroes in the ‘Dhoom’ series, Hrithik in ‘Dhoom 2’ and John in ‘Dhoom,’ but never in the same film. They have also appeared in YRF’s Spy Universe but have not shared the screen yet. In the interview, John wondered what it would be like if his character, Jim, and Hrithik’s Kabir ever came together in a film.
John’s latest film, ‘The Diplomat,’ was released on 14th March 2025. Directed by Shivam Nair, the political thriller follows a gripping story about international relations and diplomacy. The film made Rs 4 crore on its opening day and earned around Rs 19.1 crore in its first week.
Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan is preparing for his next big film, ‘War 2.’ The first film, ‘War,’ released in 2019, was a huge success, and fans are eagerly waiting to see Hrithik in action once again in the sequel.
