In a shocking revelation, actor Jonathan Majors has admitted to strangling his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
The unreleased audio recording obtained by Rolling Stone, captures a conversation between the former couple in the aftermath of a prolonged fight in September 2022, during which Majors acknowledges his aggression towards Jabbari.
In the tape, Jabbari confronts Majors about the alleged attack, stating, “You strangled me and pushed me against the car.” Majors responds, “Yes, all those things are under ‘aggressed,’ yeah.”
Jabbari then asks whether his reaction was triggered by something sarcastic she said, to which Majors replies, “Well clearly, it’s more than that.” He later admits, “Something inside of you,” before adding, “Yeah, towards you.”
This revelation follows Majors’ conviction in December 2023 for reckless assault in the third degree and harassment related to a separate incident in New York. He was arrested in March 2023 for allegedly attacking his ex, who sustained a fractured finger and a cut behind her ear. While Majors claimed in court that Jabbari was the aggressor, he was ultimately found guilty on two counts but acquitted of the more serious charges of intentional assault and aggravated harassment.
Due to a court ruling, details of previous allegations against Majors were barred from his trial. However, additional claims surfaced from two of his former partners, including actress Emma Duncan, who accused Majors of physical and emotional abuse. One ex alleged that Majors once choked her and later threatened to strangle and kill her.
Majors has consistently denied these allegations.
He has also never publicly apologized for his alleged actions, maintaining in an earlier Good Morning America interview that he has “never hit a woman.”
Majors, who was set to play Kang, Marvel’s next big villain after Thanos, was immediately axed from all future marvel movies following the allegations against him. The actor’s role and character was cut from the upcoming ‘Avengers’ films, with Marvel later changing the course of their story and bringing in Robert Downey Jr to play the villain Doctor Doom in the upcoming ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’.
