The controversy surrounding actor Kim Soo Hyun and the late actress Kim Sae Ron has only escalated, with the YouTube channel Garo Sero Research Institute issuing a fresh ultimatum.
The channel, which first brought out allegations of Kim Soo Hyun’s relationship with Kim Sae Ron, while she was still a minor, has now threatened to release “shocking photos and videos” if the actor does not issue a public apology in his statement set to be made soon.
On March 13, Garo Sero Research Institute posted a statement on its community page, declaring, “Kim Soo Hyun’s statement next week is highly anticipated. We are waiting for a sincere public apology to the late actress Kim Sae Ron’s family.” The post further warned, “If he continues to stick to lies and excuses… Three truly shocking photos and a video will be released. They are incomparable to the ones revealed so far.””Actress Kim Sae Ron personally revealed… That she dated Kim Soo Hyun for six years, from November 19, 2015… Until July 7, 2021, when she was in her second year of middle school,” the note read and further stated “We will see how long the shameless pro-China star Kim Soo Hyun continues to lie.”
Vowing to fight for the late star, the note concluded sayng, “At Garo Sero Research Institute, we will fight until the end… For actress Kim Sae Ron, who suffered so many wounds at such a young age, And for her bereaved family.”
The YouTube channel also reiterated claims that Kim Sae Ron had confided about a six-year relationship with Kim Soo Hyun, allegedly dating from November 19, 2015, until July 7, 2021.
As the controversy intensifies, a national petition has been launched, demanding accountability from Kim Soo Hyun, especially after the actress’ tragic death last month. The latest threat follows the release of a phone call recording featuring an individual claiming to be Kim Sae Ron’s aunt. In the recording, the woman alleged that the actress had been in a relationship with Kim Soo Hyun since she was 15 and also accused his agency, Gold Medalist, of imposing an unfair penalty that placed immense stress on the late star.
Meanwhile, a close associate of Kim Soo Hyun has revealed in a satement posted by allkpop, that the actor is deeply affected by the controversy. “Kim Soo Hyun is having a hard time,” the source said, adding that he has been personally apologizing to his co-stars and the director while continuing to film his upcoming drama Knock-Off.
Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, has strongly denied all allegations, dismissing them as “groundless.” However, as speculation continues to spread, the agency announced on March 13 that it will “clarify the facts and respond to baseless rumours with clear evidence next week.”
