Preity Zinta explains why she hides her children’s faces in photos: I’m letting them grow up normal

Preity Zinta shared photos from her joyful Holi 2025 celebration with her husband, Gene Goodenough, and their twins, Gia and Jai. The ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’ actress posted the Holi photos with the caption: “रंग बरसे Holi was incredibly special this year because we got to celebrate with the kids. Here is a sneak peek: #Happyholi #weekend #holi2025 #ting.” The pictures showed her and Gene smiling, covered in bright colors, enjoying the festival with their children. As always, she chose to hide her children’s faces with emojis, which led to questions from some social media users.

One person asked, “Why hide kids faces??” Preity responded kindly, saying, “I’m in the entertainment business, not my kids, so I’m letting them grow up normal & enjoy their childhood till I can manage. Uske baad Rab Rakha.” Her response received a lot of support from fans, with many agreeing that children should be kept away from the spotlight. One fan wrote, “Good decision, ma’am,” while another commented, “True, let them enjoy their childhood.”

Well, Preity is not the first one; many Bollywood celebrities, like Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Deepika Padukone, also prefer to keep their children’s identities private.

A few days ago, in a meet and greet with the media, Alia Bhatt also asked the paps to not take pictures of daughter Raha. “We don’t want to push any sort of action, but we’ll be left with no choice if people don’t listen. Wait for Raha to cross or cover her face while clicking pictures.” She added, “Wait for her (Raha) to cross, and then we will come up to take photos with you. Aur agar kuch dikha toh uska face bas cover kar dena with a heart or something.”
Alia also stopped Ranbir from saying that Raha’s photos could be taken on special occasions; she firmly added, “Having said that again, I will request you all not to post.”
