Salman Khan is set to return to the big screen with an action-packed movie, ‘Sikandar’, directed by AR Murugadoss. Scheduled for release on March 30, coinciding with Eid celebrations, the movie stands as one of the most awaited releases of the year.
Ahead of the release, Salman recently had a media interaction in the city, where he spoke about ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2‘ and ‘Tiger vs Pathaan‘.
Salman hinted that Sikandar will offer something unexpected to viewers. He suggested that audiences anticipating Murugadoss’ signature style might be in for a surprise. Additionally, he teased that, much like his previous projects, this film will also carry a strong social message.
When asked about his future projects, Salman put an end to speculations surrounding Tiger vs Pathaan, stating, “Tiger vs Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan is not happening as of now.” However, he confirmed discussions about a sequel to the cult classic Andaz Apna Apna. “Both Aamir Khan and I are excited, and I am sure Rajkumar Santoshi will do a wonderful job with it,” he said.
The ‘Tiger 3’ star also admitted that he is torn between two potential projects and has yet to decide which one to take up first. He further revealed that he is also working on a film with Sooraj Barjatya.
Salman also shared an exciting update about ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2’. “Yes, it can happen. Kabir Khan is writing it, and the first draft is ready,” he confirmed.
When asked why he has not been seen in romantic or light-hearted roles lately, the actor explained, “I am not getting scripts like No Entry or Ready. If I have to do a comedy, it has to be like these films.”
‘Sikandar’ also features Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal in key roles.
