Salman Khan makes bold statement regarding Sikandar's box office collection: 'Picture acchi ho ya buri, Rs 100 crore...'

Salman Khan and Eid are like a match made in heaven for fans. It’s a ritual for fans to watch his movie on Eid and while last year he didn’t have a release on the occasion, he had announced his film ‘Sikandar‘. He had promised fans that the film will release on Eid 2025. Now just ahead of the release, the makers launched a trailer for the film at an event in the city. During the launch event, Salman also made a statement on the film’s box office.
He said playfully, “Eid, Diwali, New Year, festive, non-festive, it’s the love of the people and picture achi ho ya buri ho, wo sau [Rs 100 crore] toh paar kara hi dete hain (laughs).” Salman corrected himself and said Rs 200 crore, “Rs 100 crore bohot pehle ki baat hain (Rs 100 crore is a thing of the past).”
Rashmika Mandanna stars opposite Salman in the film. The star reacted to his 31-year old age gap with his heroine. He said, “Heroine ke father ko problem nahi hain. Kal jab inki shaadi ho jayegi, bacche ho jaenge, aur tab bhi kaam karenge. Pati ka permission toh mil hi jayega na? (The heroine’s father has no problem. Tomorrow, when she gets married and has children, she will still continue working. She will get her husband’s permission, right?)”
‘Sikandar’ is directed by AR Murugadoss of ‘Ghajini’ fame.
