Renowned singer Sonu Nigam’s recent concert took an unexpected turn when a few individuals in the audience resorted to pelting stones and bottles at the stage. A video capturing the incident has since gone viral on social media.
According to India Today, Sonu’s recent concert at Delhi Technological University took a tragic turn when some attendees pelted stones at the singer. Despite the unsettling disruption, Nigam maintained his composure and urged the crowd to remain calm. Addressing the attendees, he expressed his concern and requested them to behave responsibly. “Main aapke liye aaya hoon yahan pe so that we can all have a good time. I’m not asking you to not enjoy, but please aisa na kariye,” Nigam reportedly said.
His appeal came after reports suggested that some members of his team had suffered minor injuries due to the chaos. The fest, which drew over a lakh attendees, witnessed moments of disorder. Some students later condemned the behaviour of the unruly crowd.
Speaking to The Hindustan Times, a student remarked, “It was shameful to see that just because of a few unruly students, a legend like him had to pause and request the audience to behave.”
However, another video from the same concert is winning over the internet, where Sonu was seen singing when a member of the audience threw a pink hairband towards him. He happily took it and placed it on his head, saying, “I will take this home.” The singer then continued performing while wearing the pink hairband.
