Ayesha Jhulka, a beloved ’90s Bollywood actress known for Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Khiladi, and Waqt Hamara Hai, continues to make selective yet impactful appearances. With decades of experience, she remains a respected voice in the industry. In an exclusive interview, she shares a chilling experience about Divya Bharti.
While filming Rang, Ayesha Jhulka shared a special bond with Divya Bharti, who played her sister in the movie. They were very close, and Divya often visited Ayesha on other sets. She even bought matching shoes for both of them. One day, during a song shoot, Divya noticed Ayesha wasn’t wearing a bindi. Without hesitation, she ran to her room and brought one for her.
Ayesha further shared with Bollywood Bubble how deeply connected she felt to Divya Bharti. While dubbing for Rang, she struggled with a scene and broke down, forcing the session to be postponed. Later, during an outdoor preview at Film City, the screen suddenly fell when Divya appeared on it. This eerie moment left Ayesha shaken, and she couldn’t sleep for a long time.
Ayesha and Divya played sisters in the 1993 romantic drama Rang, directed by Talat Jani. The film explored love and emotional conflicts and was known for its hit songs like Tujhe Na Dekhun and Dil Main Ho Tum. Sadly, Divya passed away before its release, making it one of her posthumous films. Ayesha has often shared how deeply Rang remains special to her because of their close bond.
