Vicky Kaushal’s latest release, Chhaava, continues its remarkable box office journey, setting new benchmarks for success. Bringing Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj to life with his stellar performance, Kaushal has captivated audiences since the film’s release. However, on its fifth Monday, the film recorded one of its lowest collections to date, earning around Rs 2.65 crore. Despite the dip, Chhaava managed to surpass John Abraham’s The Diplomat, which earned around Rs 1.50 crore at the box office.
Chhaava had an impressive fifth weekend, securing the top spot with an estimated collection of Rs 22 crore, outperforming Stree 2 (Rs 16 crore) and Pushpa 2 (Rs 14 crore in Hindi). The film’s Monday earnings marked a significant drop from its earlier Mondays—having previously collected Rs 24 crore on its first Monday, Rs 18 crore on its second, Rs 7.75 crore on its third, and Rs 5.25 crore on its fourth.
If the film maintains its current momentum, it could push past the Rs 30 crore mark this week, further solidifying its box office dominance.Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava stars Vicky as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Akshaye Khanna as Emperor Aurangzeb, alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Divya Dutta. Since its release on February 14, the film has performed exceptionally well at the box office, crossing the Rs 500 crore mark in India within just 23 days, making it the first film of 2025 to achieve this feat.
Reacting to the overwhelming response, Vicky expressed his gratitude to fans via social media, writing, “Thank you for your immense love.”
With this milestone, Chhaava has become Kaushal’s highest-grossing film to date and the first Bollywood film of 2025 to surpass the Rs 500 crore mark, further cementing his status as a box office powerhouse.
