Dhanashree Verma, a choreographer who is in the spotlight these days due to her divorce from cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, recently celebrated Women’s Day with her close friends, including singers Neha Kakkar and Sonu Kakkar. On March 13, she shared a series of pictures and videos on Instagram, where she could be seen cutting a cake and dancing with her friends. In the caption of her post, Dhanashree wrote, “Only love, kindness, and respect always. Gratitude.” Neha Kakkar also responded to the post and commented, “Nothing above love and positivity!”
Last month, a report by ABP News stated that during their court hearing, the couple revealed they had been living separately for 18 months. When asked about the reason behind their divorce, they mentioned ‘compatibility issues.’ Meanwhile, several reports had also suggested that Dhanashree was asking for Rs 60 crore in alimony from Chahal. However, her family denied these claims, stating that no such demand had been made.Apart from this, a few days ago, Dhanashree posted a cryptic message on Instagram that read, “Blaming women is always in fashion.” This post appeared shortly after Yuzvendra Chahal was spotted at the Champions Trophy final with RJ Mahvash. Some social media users speculated that Dhanashree’s post was directed at Yuzvendra’s public appearance with RJ Mahvash, while others believed it was her response to the online trolling she has faced since announcing the divorce.
Recently, Dhanashree also attended the special screening of ‘Be Happy’ in Mumbai. A video circulating on Instagram showed her leaving the venue after watching the film. She wore a stylish maroon and white co-ord set and interacted warmly with the paparazzi. She also shared her thoughts about the movie, saying, “Main bahut emotional feel kar rahi hu abhi” (I feel very emotional). Although both Dhanashree and Chahal have posted cryptic messages and notes on social media, they have not officially announced their divorce.
