Neha Kakkar recently faced severe backlash after arriving three hours late for her concert in Melbourne and performing for only an hour. The disappointment among fans escalated when a video of her breaking down in tears on stage went viral. In the clip, Neha was seen apologizing for the delay, though she has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
Tony Kakkar comes to Neha’s defense
Amidst the controversy, Neha’s brother and fellow singer Tony Kakkar strongly defended her, calling out trolls for mocking her emotional moment. Sharing a video on Instagram, Tony wrote, “Fans bhi rote hain.. Fans ka rona fake nahi toh artist ka kaise fake?” Neha responded to his post with “I love you the most, bhaiyu,” marking her first public reaction to the controversy.
Cryptic posts hint at mismanagement
On Monday evening, Tony shared a series of cryptic messages, seemingly addressing the controversy without naming anyone. One of his posts described a scenario where an artist arrives in a city for an event only to find that no travel or stay arrangements have been made. “In that situation, who is to blame?” he questioned, hinting at possible event mismanagement.
He also commented on the backlash Neha faced, writing, “Artiste maryada mein rahe, aur janta?” raising concerns about the treatment of artists by the public.
Despite the controversy, Neha Kakkar remains one of Bollywood’s most successful playback singers, with chart-topping hits like Badri Ki Dulhania, O Saki Saki, Sunny Sunny, Coca Cola, Kala Chashma, Manali Trance, and Garmi.
