Sobhita Dhulipala is known for her versatile roles, and the actress recently made headlines for her marriage to Tollywood star Naga Chaitanya. The couple made their relationship public with an engagement post last year, followed by a traditional wedding ceremony in December 2024.
Now, an old video of Sobhita has resurfaced online, where she reveals how she was once replaced by a dog for a shoot.
In the recent video shared on Instagram, Sobhita was seen alongside her Made In Heaven co-star Jim Sarbh. She was heard speaking to Neha Dhupia about an odd call she received late at night for a role. Sobhita said, “I was called at 11:30 at night for an audition, and I thought it was just creepy. I go and audition, I get told, ‘You have been cast.’ I go to Goa—not Thailand or Australia, but Goa. I was still excited.”
The first day of the shoot went well, but there were some issues with the camera. They decided to reschedule the shoot for the next day. Later, the client reviewed the pictures and felt she did not fit the brand’s image. They thought she looked “too confident” for the role and chose to complete the shoot with a dog instead.
“The client saw the footage. They were like, ‘The girl is not working. She looks confident, doesn’t suit the brand image much.’ They replaced me with a dog, but I got paid, so that’s fine,” she shared.
Sobhita won multiple titles at Miss India 2013 and is known for her roles in projects like The Night Manager, Made In Heaven, Monkey Man, and more.
