David Dhawan and Varun Dhawan are teaming up for their next film together – the upcoming romantic comedy Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.
Having already completed major portions of the shoot in Goa, the team is now set to kiss the sun and sand goodbye as they head north to Dehradun for a brief schedule. According to reports, the production will later move to London for the next international leg of the shoot.
Varun, who has been juggling multiple projects, recently wrapped up Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari alongside Janhvi Kapoor. Now, he is gearing up to rejoin the sets of Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai before shifting his focus to Border 2. He is expected to touch down in Dehradun tomorrow and shoot his sequences over the weekend.
Buzz is that the actor will be seen rocking two drastically different looks in both films, one of which will see him rocking a moustache, while the other will see him in a clean shaven look.
With Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari slated for a September release, according to the report, Varun aims to wrap Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai before diving into the final leg of his action-packed war drama.
The rom-com will see Varun alongside starring alongleading ladies Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. While much about the film is kept under wraps, it is said to capture the charm of classic ’90s rom-coms.
Varun was last seen on the big screen in the film Baby John, which was released in cinemas early this year. The film had an average run at the box office, earning an estimated Rs 60 crore worldwide.
