Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan became parents to a baby girl in November 2011. They named her Aaradhya Bachchan and grandfather Amitabh Bachchan was just elated. The Bachchans had kept a press conference back in 2011, at their office bungalow Janak in Juhu. They addressed the media and shared their happiness with them at a press conference when Aaradhya was born.
Big B called her ‘laxmi ratna’ as they got Aaradhya and Aishwarya home from hospital after the delivery. He said at the press conference, “Today, we brought bitiya home. We are very happy. Hamare ghar Laxmi aayi hai, Abhishek, Aishwarya and bitiya are all well and in good health. Life changes when a new life comes to your house. I would say Laxmi Ratna has arrived in our house.”
He revealed that Aaradhya was taken to their first home Pratiksha and not Jalsa where they are staying. “We first took her to Pratiksha because that is our first home. After taking blessings from my ma and babuji (Amitabh’s parents), we have come to Jalsa,” he said.
Meanwhile during this press conference, Abhishek was asked if he will be able to give time to his daughter because of being an actor amidst hectic schedules. He had reacted, “I am a child of two actors. They did not have any problem spending time with me. I don’t remember any occasion, any school play, any sporting day that my father and mother were not there for me,” Abhishek replied. “I never felt that void or vacuum when I was growing up. I will get very good training from the best (points to his father). So I think I will be able to cope.”
During this press conference, while still sharing their happiness and keeping their life private, Bachchan had also thanked the media for respecting their privacy during this time.
