Bipasha Basu and John Abraham made one of the best couples that B-town has ever seen. While they looked gorgeous together, their chemistry on-screen was sizzling. Their break-up left fans hugely devastated. John and Bipasha were in a serious relationship for 9 years before they went their separate ways. But as they broke up, Bipasha had spoken about feeling devastated. So much so, that they would howl and went into isolation.
The actress had spoken about dealing with this break-up during an earlier chat with Times Of India. She had said, “I felt abandoned. I was living in a lala land till then. Now sitting today I feel I was so foolish. During those nine years, I retracted from my work, pushed back opportunities, stood like a rock for the man I loved, did not meet people just to give that extra time to make my relationship work and then I realised that the thing I was working so hard for was gone overnight. It took me months to realise that it’s over and I am abandoned. I went through a lot of pain. I used to howl, went into isolation, it hurt.”
Bipasha was dating Dino Morea for a while before she met John. In a recent interview, Dino spoke about how things were difficult when him and Bipasha were shooting for ‘Raaz’ as they had just broken up that time. Things were sour between them but eventually they ended up being friends and continue to remain good friends. Bipasha had once spoken about being friends with an ex and said, “See if your ex is an assh*le, it’s not possible. But if your ex is a good human being and things didn’t gel well between you, then of course it’s possible, but it depends.”
While John is married now to Priya Runchal, Bipasha is happily married to Karan Singh Grover and also has a daughter, Devi Basu Singh Grover.
