Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma have officially parted ways. Chahal’s lawyer confirmed the news just moments ago. Meanwhile, a video of Dhanashree is going viral on the internet, showing her visibly upset as paparazzi crowded around her before the hearing.
Today, Dhanashree arrived at Bandra Family Court for her divorce hearing with Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. In a video shared by paparazzi, the choreographer-actress was seen getting mobbed by photographers as soon as she stepped out of her car.
As Dhanashree Verma made her way towards the court premises, a woman lost her balance amid the commotion caused by the paparazzi and stumbled to the ground.
Dhanashree was visibly upset by the crowd and said to the paparazzi, Kya kar rahe ho aap? What is this behavior?” She also checked on the woman who had fallen before quickly heading towards the court.
Furthermore, the duo had tied the knot in a dreamy wedding in 2020 after falling in love during the COVID-19 lockdown. However, by June 2022, cracks began to appear in their relationship, leading them to live separately.
Last month, in February 2025, the couple officially filed for divorce, citing compatibility issues. With Chahal set to participate in the Indian Premier League 2025, starting on March 22, the Bandra High Court directed the family court to expedite their divorce proceedings.
Today, Yuzvendra and Dhanashree arrived at the court for their final divorce hearing. Shortly after, Chahal’s lawyer confirmed their separation, stating, “Divorce has been done; marriage is dissolved.”
While he refrained from commenting on alimony, reports suggest that Chahal has agreed to pay a permanent alimony of ₹4.75 crore. So far, the cricketer has already paid ₹2.37 crore, with the remaining amount to be settled following the divorce decree.
